SOL GOLF commenced work on this prestigious course in July 2001 in what is currently recognized as one of the finest inland courses in Ireland. Seeding was finished in June 2003 and the course opened for play in August 2003.

"SOL GOLF were the main contractors on the construction of the Heritage golf course at The Heritage Golf & Spa Resort in Killenard, Co. Laois in 2001. They were involved in the creation of every aspect of the course including greens, fairways, bunkers, tee boxes, lakes, streams, planting and all other features. They implemented this design based on the specification of the course designers Seve Ballesteros and Jeff Howes.

Since the initial construction project, SOL GOLF have been involved in the continuous maintenance programme on the course and have offered ongoing support and guidance to our course superintendent Anthony Fitzpatrick. In 2008 the course was ranked by Backspin Magazine as “5th best Parkland course in Ireland” and 15th in Golf Digests “Ireland’s top 100 Golf Courses”. It has hosted the Irish Seniors Open, The Heritage Challenge and the Seve Trophy with some of Europe’s top players in attendance. "
